With a reputation of producing best value designs, all systems are designed in accordance with British standards and industry codes of practice. Our design process focusses on the requirements that are prescribed by the fire strategy for new build projects and the fire risk assessment for systems in existing premises.

Being proactive in our design the liaison with all relevant parties is a fundamental part of our process and we formally make all requests for information when needed to ensure that the system is designed to meet the operational requirements expected. The output of design service is industry leading with the issue of detailed general arrangement drawings, schematics, detection and alarm zone diagrams orientated to each item of control and indicating equipment, engineering calculations, detector selection tables making record of detector choice rationale and ultimately the relevant British standard and British Approvals of Fire Equipment (BAFE) certification.

Our design service includes the provision of a System Overview document, for each system type, that is co-branded with our client and forms a very detailed and comprehensive technical submittal that enables our client to put forward a comprehensive technical offering for approval by all relevant parties which forms the basis of the contractual obligations between our client and their client.

All design documentation is uploaded and transferred to our clients using our secure customer portal. This document collaboration site is safe and secure and provides a facility for all relevant parties to have access to documentation for view, download and upload throughout the subsequent installation and commissioning process to system handover.

We recognise that shortfalls in knowledge and understanding of the electrotechnical fire safety system aspect of an electrical work package which often introduces a barrier to electrical contractors in undertaking the installation of a system. To remove that barrier, Rely on Fire Check have a comprehensive training programme that provides the knowledge transfer to our clients so that they can build on existing electrical installation skills to install the systems that we design and commission.

The training programme is modular thus enabling our clients to obtain knowledge and understanding that is specific to each project whether it be understanding a particular technology such as aspirating smoke detection or duct smoke detection, a system type such as voice alarm or emergency voice communication system or the specific requirements of an environment such as sports stadia, healthcare, data centre, social housing or custodial our extensive experience and knowledge is transferred through our training programme to support our clients to deliver the most complex of projects.

BAFE Scheme Certification Support Services

A key function of our model is to provide our clients with services and support to aid them in obtaining and maintaining 3rd party certification for British Approvals of Fire Equipment (BAFE) schemes.

With our design and commissioning service being supported by our own holding of BAFE scheme certification, we provide those looking to obtain BAFE certification for the individual modules they desire which include design, installation, commissioning and maintenance which can be obtained individually, as a selection or as a collective of all modules.
