SeAH Teesside Offshore Turbine Base Factory

Rely on Fire Check were appointed to provide specialist fire and life safety design and consultancy services in support of SES Engineering Services for the SeAH Wind monopile manufacturing facility at Teesworks, one of the largest renewable energy manufacturing developments in Europe.

Commencing work on the project in 2023, Rely on Fire Check delivered a comprehensive RIBA Stage 3 consultant design package for the life safety systems across the full SeAH Wind site. This included the main manufacturing facility, associated office buildings, power stations and supporting infrastructure, developing a coordinated site-wide fire detection and alarm strategy appropriate for a large-scale heavy industrial environment.

Following completion of the Stage 3 design, Rely on Fire Check continued to support the project throughout the subsequent delivery phases. This included technical governance during subcontractor selection, participation in design workshops to develop the detailed Stage 4 design packages, and providing specialist technical guidance on equipment selection and system strategies to ensure robust, compliant and buildable solutions.

Rely on Fire Check also provided ongoing on-site technical support and installation reviews throughout construction. These site visits verified compliance with the approved design information, supported early resolution of technical issues and ensured the life safety systems were delivered in line with employers’ requirements and the demanding operational nature of the manufacturing facility.
