Oasis Academy

Rely on Fire Check were appointed to provide specialist fire detection and alarm design services in support of SES Engineering Services for the new-build Oasis Academy Daventry Road secondary school in Bristol, delivered alongside Wates Group for the Department for Education.

Rely on Fire Check took full design responsibility for the Fire Detection & Fire Alarm systems across the development, producing fully coordinated RIBA Stage 4 design information, detailed drawings and schematics in line with the project requirements and relevant British Standards. The completed design was supported by the issue of a BS 5839-1 Design Certificate and BAFE SP203-1 Certificate for Design, providing formal assurance of system compliance and technical competence.

In addition to the detailed design delivery, Rely on Fire Check supported SES Engineering Services through the procurement process by reviewing contractor quotations to ensure that equipment selections and quantities were fully aligned with the approved Rely on Fire Check design. This technical governance ensured design intent was maintained, compliance was protected and best-value procurement decisions were achieved without compromise to system performance.
