Britannia Phase 2B Residential Towers
Our scope of services
Rely on Fire Check were appointed by CD Engineering Services, the appointed electrical subcontractor to Ardmore, to provide Grade D Domestic fire alarm design services for the Britannia Phase 2B Residential Towers development, comprising four tower blocks (Blocks H3, H4, H5 and H6) delivering a total of 370 apartments.
Our appointment included full design responsibility for the Grade D fire detection and fire alarm systems within each individual dwelling. This involved developing the design in line with RIBA Stage 4 requirements, inclusive of coordination across the various apartment types, detailed design drawings, schematics, and the production of a comprehensive System Overview document to support technical approval by all relevant stakeholders.
Rely on Fire Check also provided support through checking consultancy services for the communal life safety systems across all four blocks. This scope covered the review of the Fire Detection & Fire Alarm systems, Emergency Voice Communication systems, and Evacuation Alert systems sub-contractor design packages to ensure full compliance with the applicable British Standards and project requirements.
Given the project’s classification as a Higher-Risk Building (HRB), Rely on Fire Check produced detailed System Overview documents for the Fire Detection & Fire Alarm, Emergency Voice Communication, Evacuation Alert, and Emergency Lighting systems. This ensured the maintenance of a robust golden thread of information throughout the project lifecycle, supporting compliance, ongoing building safety, and future building management.
