Rely on Fire Check Invitational Golf Event Raises £780 for Fire Fighters Charity
Rely on Fire Check recently hosted our Invitational Golf Event at the prestigious Rockliffe Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort, bringing together sector professionals for a day of networking, knowledge sharing and fundraising for Fire Fighters Charity.
The event kicked off with an in-depth presentation from our own Christopher Carvell MIET MIFSM PCQI to the team of our key client CD Engineering Services. The session provided valuable insight into the latest compliance requirements and commercial opportunities shaping the fire safety and engineering sectors. With regulation and best practice continuing to evolve across the built environment, the session offered attendees timely guidance on emerging challenges facing our industry.
Networking and competition on the greens
Following the presentation, professionals took to Rockliffe Hall's challenging 18-hole course, where they battled gusty conditions whilst participating in various competitions, including individual and team prizes, longest drive, closest to the pin and the popular "Beat the Pro" challenge. The relaxed atmosphere created an ideal setting for industry peers to connect, share experiences and forge new relationships that will support future collaboration across the sector.
Making a difference for our fire service community
We're delighted to announce that attendees raised £390 for Fire Fighters Charity, which provides lifelong care and support to serving and retired fire service personnel and their families. Our partner FireAngel Safety Technology generously matched the total, bringing the final donation to £780, which was presented to Alex Byers, Regional Fundraiser (North).
Alex expressed gratitude for the industry's support, stating: "Every pound raised on the day will make such a difference to our fire services community, ensuring we can continue offering our life-changing care and support for fire service personnel and their families."
Partnership and collective commitment
The event's success was made possible through the collective support of our sponsors – FireAngel Safety Technology, Honeywell Gent, Porsche Teesside, and Rockliffe Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort – as well as all the attendees who contributed to a day centred around community, collaboration and charity. We're immensely grateful to everyone who participated and helped make this event such a success.
