Course Information

On this course, delegates will develop knowledge from the Base Knowledge and Work Activity Modules and apply this to the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of Fire Detection & Fire Alarm Systems within all Police Custody Suites and Custodial Premises such as police stations, custody suites including those within border control and sports stadia and prisons as occupied by the Home Office, Police Authority and HM Prison & Probation Service. The course provides an understanding of the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Fire Detection & Fire Alarm Systems within Custodial Premises to BS 5839-1, HM Prison & Probation Service Custodial Premises Fire Safety Design Guide, Home Office Property Directorate Technical Standards Design Guide for Police Custody Suites and other relevant Codes of Practice.
