Johnson Matthey Teesside Site

Ongoing fire safety design, validation and compliance governance across a complex estate

Our scope of services

Rely on Fire Check have developed a long-standing working relationship with Johnson Matthey across their Teesside operations, acting in a trusted consultant and critical friend capacity to support the delivery, improvement and ongoing compliance of life safety systems across multiple industrial facilities.

Over several years, Rely on Fire Check have provided detailed fire and life safety system designs for a number of key buildings across the sites, including the Information Centre, CTH Building and the N and Q Buildings. These designs were developed to suit the complex operational requirements of chemical process and technology environments, ensuring robust, compliant and resilient life safety solutions appropriate for high-risk industrial use.

In addition to detailed design delivery, Rely on Fire Check have supported Johnson Matthey throughout the full project lifecycle. This has included technical support during subcontractor selection through tender analysis and technical governance, on-site installation support and compliance checking, commissioning support, and wider project management assistance to ensure systems were delivered in line with design intent and British standards.

Rely on Fire Check have also worked closely with the Johnson Matthey project and facilities teams to develop a comprehensive suite of as-fitted life safety system drawings across the full building portfolio on both sites. This has provided clear, accurate and compliant records to support ongoing system management, maintenance, audits and future project works.
