Cleveland Police are responsible for policing the area of Cleveland, covering the districts of Hartlepool, Redcar and Cleveland, Stockton-on-Tees and Middlesbrough. The area covers approximately 230 square miles and has a population of around 560,000.
Cleveland Police Estates Department identified the need to replace the existing fire detection & fire alarm system due structural changes within the building and also the age and condition of the existing fire detection & fire alarm system.
Rely on Fire Check were appointed to undertake a site survey to produce an as-fitted drawing of the existing system requiring removal, and to produce a detailed design for the replacement system including all supporting documentation, performance specification and design certification.
Cleveland Police went to tender using our design with Rely on Fire Check providing assistance in the selection of the best value contractor. On completion of the contract works, Rely on Fire Check were appointed to undertake a verification of the installation including review of all contractor produced installation documentation and certification for compliance with British Standards and industry codes of practice.
All defects and snags were identified and communicated to the contractor and supervised by Rely on Fire Check to satisfactory completion, thus resulting in Cleveland Police taking receipt of fully compliant fire detection & fire alarm system, complete with all documentation for design, installation and commissioning to evidence such.
